moving structures III – Das Ende

improvisation for voice, microphones and computer

moving-structures-III-C_Wolz

In the last part of the concert series moving structures Christian Wolz creates further musical structures of his own, consisting of basic sounds and pre-programmed effects, containing material from the first two concerts and prepared as compositional sketches.

Also in this concert of improvisation the structures are taken apart, moved, shifted and equipped with new elements, which emerge from the moment and thus form new structures and sound landscapes.

Wolz creates the tonal dimension almost exclusively through his voice in combination and interaction with electroacoustic means such as microphones and computers.
Wolz plays with his voice in the most extreme variations. From onomatopoeia to classical singing, imaginative sound formations emerge in the interplay of abstract sound experiences and pictorial associations – the structures are in motion again.
The first concert in this series was presented on 23rd November 2018 in the Exploratorium Berlin as part of the Frei Tag Abend series and the second concert on 07th September 2019 in the Ackerstadtpalast Berlin. This concert closes the cycle of the series with the performance in the Exploratorium Berlin in the frame Frei Tag Abend – exploring stage.
