Series “Improvisation International”
Selbdritt plays improvised music. Clear spontaneous compositional decisions create order and binding music. A text also receives musical meaning and disappears in pure structures. Meanings are freed and concealed at the same time, because the text is both sound material and meaning. Likewise the actions of the instruments, which work with abstractions and with semantically loaded stereotypes. A sound world emerges, in which linguistic sound, language content, instrumental gestures and sound events loaded with meaning are combined into a whole, growing up and away from one another through the years.
