Der Workshop „freie Improvisation“ wird aus vier Teilen bestehen.
Am Vormittag (10.00–13.00) leitet je einer der Musiker einen Teil zu einem bestimmten Thema.
- „About rhythm and free improvisation“ (Barre Phillips)
- „Improvisation: play, listen, imagine“ (Jacques Demierre)
- „Listening conscious perception as a basis of free improvisation“ (Urs Leimgruber)
Der Nachmittag (15 – 17 h) ist dem Zusammenspiel zwischen den drei Kursleitern und den Teilnehmer*innen gewidmet. Dabei sind Zuhörer*innen zugelassen und erwünscht.
Der Workshop richtet sich an Musiker*innen aller Instrumente und an Tänzer*innen.
Workshopsprache ist Englisch, deutsche Übersetzungen sind möglich.
Im Rahmen seiner dreitägigen Residenz im exploratorium wird das Trio am 28. und 30.05. im Konzert auftreten:

The workshop „free improvisation“ will consist of four parts.
In the morning (10 – 13 h), there will be three parts with each of the musicians focussing on a specific topic.
- „About rhythm and free improvisation“ (Barre Phillips)
- „Improvisation: play, listen, imagine“ (Jacques Demierre)
- „Listening conscious perception as a basis of free improvisation“ (Urs Leimgruber)
The afternoon (15 – 17 h) is dedicated to the interaction between the three facilitators and the participants. Listeners are welcome.
The workshop is aimed at musicians of all instruments and dancers.
Workshop language is English, German translations are possible.
