Brigitte Westkemper

has been working as a freelance movement-artist in her studio in Berlin since ’82.

Your dance basis is natural movement, expressive movement and expressive dance. She has dealt intensively with Rudolf von Laban’s dance ideas, the Bauhaus stage and the dance of animals and is influenced by Butoh dance.

In her lessons it is important to her not only to train the body, but also to experience the body and awaken the creative powers through playful, experimental actions and THROUGH dance.

In addition to continuous studio work, she is also interested in being creative in nature and in special places and, beyond the physical/sensory challenge, also connecting with the story(s) there.
