Studied percussion and singing in Freiburg, classical tuba training. Composition and improvisation studies in Freiburg and Cologne (J. Fritsch).
Composes for small and large ensembles of improvised and new music. Is in demand as a tuba player both at home and abroad.
Plays concerts of improvised, new or jazz-like music with known and unknown masters of these genres.
Numerous radio and CD productions as well as theater music compositions. Concert tours almost everywhere. Scholarships in Switzerland, Austria and the USA.
Winner of the “Jazzpott” (Essen), SWR New JazzMeeting 2012, composer Einsiedler Welttheater 2013, inventor and curator of the platform Nicht Dokumentierbarer Ereignisse. Secretly researches and publishes books and blogs on improvisation: blog.huebsch.me
Plays new, improvised or jazz-like/improvised music with Lester Bowie, M. Schubert, Harald Kimmig, Frank Gratkowski, Jasper van’t Hof, Jaap Blonk, Le Quan Ninh, Arthur Blythe, Thomas Lehn and many others.
