Ingo Reulecke

After training in contemporary dance, Prof Ingo Reulecke studied choreography at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin.

In 1994 and 1997 he received scholarships from the Berlin Cultural Senate and in 1998/99 from the DAAD for study visits to New York City. From 1999 to 2004 he worked as “Choreographer in Residence” at the Tanzfabrik Berlin, in 2001 as Artist in Residence in Fylkingen (Stockholm) and in 2002 as Artist in Residence at the Choreographic Centre Essen for “gleich.gültig 2”.

His choreographies have won several awards and have been invited to numerous festivals in Germany and abroad.

2008 Artistic director of the TanzMedienAkademie as part of the Kunstfest Weimar.
Since 2000 numerous collaborations with the director Lukas Matthaei.

From 2012-2014 artistic director of the cooperation project `Bauhaus Tanzen` in close collaboration with the Bauhaus Dessau, the Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin, the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau and the Scenic Space course at the TU Berlin.
Repeated collaboration with saxophonist Simon Rose since 2016.

In 2006, Ingo Reulecke took over as head of the dance department at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts until 2013. Reulecke was elected to the board of the Inter-University Centre for Dance until 2012 and has been permanently employed there ever since.

One focus of his work is real-time composition. His performances are created in collaboration with dancers and musicians.
