Julia Dorsch

(*1994) is a “language artist”. She grew up in Italian-speaking Switzerland and lives in Berlin and Leipzig. She is currently studying literary writing at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig and works freelance as a language arts teacher for all ages, including with the Math x Art project team.

In her writing and artistic work, she focuses on motifs of digitality and on intermedia works in the areas of sound, video and installation. She is a member of the Berlin poetry collective “das ad hoc”, with which she explores collective writing practices and performative formats of poetry presentation, and was a participant in the Academy for Poetry Criticism in 2021/22, where she developed experimental video poetry reviews.

Her poems have appeared in magazines and anthologies, most recently in the literary magazine Bella Triste No. 61 and in the Yearbook of Poetry 2022.
