Keo Luana Strauss
Keo Luana Strauss (*1994, Luzern, CH) listens to the potential of listening as an artistic and transformative practice and asks: How can we develop new perspectives through listening and enter into a playful exchange with ourselves, each other and the environment? This attitude is reflected in the group guidance by focussing on the creative impulses of the participants and allowing them to try them out in a non-judgemental space.
Keo Luana studies musicology at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where she leads a project tutorial on “Deep Listening as an artistic research practice” and is currently training at the Centre for Deep Listening (RPI, New York).
Keo Luana composes, sings and plays violin for the music project Kokokollektiv, organises the artist stage Schaunwama and the jam session series Hörnwama.
Since 2021, Keo Luana Strauss has accompanied children’s groups in various art education projects, including with the project team Maths x Art at the exploratorium, and implements art education programmes as part of the KinderKulturMonat team.
