Klaus Holsten

Born in 1951, studied at the conservatories in Hamburg and Zurich.

From 1976 to 1994 flutist in the Bavarian State Orchestra, Munich State Opera.
Since 1970 he has been working with historical and exotic flutes and has performed in various international early music ensembles.

1981 Founded the Ensemble Now! for improvisation and sound performance with his own music. Collaboration with other media such as painting, movement, theater and poetry. Since 1988 Axis duo with Beata Seemann, specializing in new music for transverse flute and harpsichord.

Extensive teaching and seminar activities: “Klang & Körper Unterrichtsstudio”, “Meisterkurs Flöte/Cembalo”, “Neue Wege für Traversflöte und Cembalo”, “Mit Tönen sprechen”, “Improvisationsworkshop”, “Flötenklang an Naturplätzen”.
