Maggie Nicols

*1948, is one of the most prominent improvisers of our time.

She lives in Wales and London and has worked with “everyone” in the avant-garde/music scene since the late 1960s.

She is known for her work with musicians such as John Stevens (Spontaneous Music Ensemble), Phil Minton, Keith & Julie Tippett, with the Swiss pianist Irene Scweizer and the French bassist Joëlle Léandre (Les Diaboliques).
