Meike Redeker

Meike Redeker studied Fine Arts and Media Art in Braunschweig, Istanbul and Bandung (Indonesia). Since then, she has been realising her video works within film and art funding programmes and presenting them internationally at film and media art festivals and in exhibitions.

Meike Redeker’s single-channel and multi-channel video works are created from performative and narrative elements. The camera is often integrated into the narrative and emphasises the power relations between the filmmaker and the person depicted.
