Simon Jakob Drees develops an original and physical, emotional and sociable way of making music: unique and diverse, conventional and unconventional, vocal and instrumental. In his solo concerts, he opens up a creative space for himself and the listener. Since 1993, he has been active as a freelance musician as a soloist and in a wide variety of ensembles. He shapes the musical landscape not only through his continuous concert activity, but also through his work at the Mirkaledo Institute for Improvised Music and Dialogical Development, which he founded.
