Stefan Roigk
Stefan Roigk (* 1974) studied fine arts, specialising in installative sound art. He works interdisciplinarily between acousmatic sound collage, installation and musical graphics. His artistic focus is the dynamic and intermedial staging of everyday fragments in the form of narrative, stage-like installations.
Since 2009, in collaboration with Daniela Fromberg, he has realised more than 40 geräusch[mu’si:k] projects with almost 2,000 participants at daycare centres, schools and museums and has won two nationwide competitions, among others: Audio walks, compositions for art exhibitions, projects in which only natural materials are used; projects in which electronic devices take centre stage. Sometimes sound orchestras are formed and small concerts performed, or pieces of furniture such as the sound trolley are built.
Fromberg and Roigk have taught at art and educational colleges and realised successful cooperation projects with the Fortbildungsinstitut für die Pädagogische Praxis (FiPP e.V.), the Picasso Grundschule Berlin-Weissensee, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle, the Kunstfestspiele Herrenhausen, the Sprengel-Museum Hannover, the Bode-Museum Berlin, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Kunsthalle Emden and many others.
