In this workshop we will explore the artistic connections between sound and improvisation, the perception of space and the movement of our own bodies.
When we make music, we are always both a physical presence and a position in a concrete and abstract space. In this course, we will examine how our own body, sound and space inspire each other in more detail using a number of specific topics.
We will look at musical behaviour from the perspective of movement and performance. This includes exploring the possibilities of body awareness and mobility for musicians, the importance of positions, directions, paths and planes in space and much more.
To the extent that we become aware of all these parameters, not only does the precision of the sound grow, but our perception is trained far beyond the sound experience. A basis is created that includes playful artistic communication as well as professional stage presence in a performance.
