Feldenkrais + Improvisation

FELDENKRAIS is a method with which we can optimise our action sequences. It is used in dance, instrumental lessons, acting and singing to free the performance from superfluous tension, organise movements more efficiently and thus improve the performance.

It is learning through movement and learning through experience. We explore and harmonise movement in gentle, coordinated movement experiments.

After retuning the instrument ‘body’, we use the lightness and the changed kinaesthetic feeling in the body to explore new, surprising ways of improvisation – with or without an instrument, vocally or through dance.

Current message on the occasion of the Corona Pandemic:

The course starts as an online course and will be continued at a later date in the exploratorium!

Especially now, in a situation that is very demanding on our nerves, it is important to create spaces and times in which we can come to ourselves, find peace, become aware of our own resources, integrate and centre ourselves.
So it would not be wise to do without Feldenkrais now.

The Internet offers us Feldenkrais teachers very useful tools to stay in contact with our participants. And the Feldenkrais Method itself is also well suited to this. In the last 2 weeks I have tried to do the lessons as a Zoom meeting with some of the participants, and it worked surprisingly well.

I have therefore decided to start this course on 22 April as an online course. As soon as the precautionary measures are relaxed and we can meet in the rooms, I will offer the lessons again at the usual location and live (of course in compliance with the hygiene regulations). The time of the change to the rooms will depend on the group size and I will coordinate it with the group.

You will have different options to register for the courses listed below:

  1. book the whole course (start online with the option of changing rooms)
  2. book only the part of the course that takes place in the room (registration takes place now, payment will be made later when the number of teaching units is clear).
  3. if someone only wants to book the online part of a course, please register separately by e-mail.
