Welcome to our monthly meeting for improvisation based on Makam!
Once a month on Sundays we meet for two full hours at noon to play and improvise together in one or two makams. The improvisation is led by Tayfun Guttstadt on the Ney. Theoretical aspects will also be dealt with, but the focus will be on playing together and feeling the mood of the respective makam. In addition, typical forms of oriental music are introduced, all through playing and ‘feeling’.
All instruments including vocals and all levels are welcome. We will improvise together in given makams and deepen our knowledge.
The course can take place with up to 10 people.
Dates: (Sun 16.00-18.00)
From autumn 2022, the dates will be set a few weeks in advance.
