In theatre, presence or being present is a fundamental concept. It means developing a more precise self-perception as well as a deeper receptivity for the immediate surroundings (space, things, people). The more one develops a more precise and sensitive perception of oneself and one’s surroundings, the more the theatrical potential is revealed and can be developed creatively.
Through creative exercises and games that aim to deepen this presence in the participants, we will work with different types of improvisation: with objects, with space, with everyday situations. The theatrical potential of the exercises is based on a more precise perception of the present moment, of presence in the here and now, and unfolds through collective as well as individual improvisation. Various situations and characters can be developed that arise from the experiences or fantasies of the participants.
The workshop is suitable for beginners who have no theatre experience as well as for others who are familiar with theatre work. Interested parties who have already taken part in a workshop on the same topic can also book the course.
