Workshop in German language.
We let water sound and listen to it. We discover the wealth of sounds it contains. We form colorful sound collages from the tones. Using simple instruments, we imitate the diverse sounds of water and develop our own water music.
The sounds take us into the world of stories, stories of thirsty fruit, stolen water and dust-dry soil. We explore how much the lives of people in faraway places on earth are connected to ours here.
Three different thematic focuses are each offered as a one-day workshop:
Virtual WATER
- how the Global North consumes the water of the Global South
- Water balance of different products
- Comparison of the water footprint of countries
- Thinking about global justice
- Personal and political approaches to sustainable development
WATER – a HUMAN RIGHT
- Importance and protection of human rights
- Consequences of the privatization of drinking water for indigenous populations
- Resistance of local people
- Relation to the reality of our lives
- Our own influence (campaigns, petitions, purchasing decisions…)
THREATS and FLOWS
- Connection between global warming, extreme weather and mass exodus
- Insights into the reality of the lives of those affected
- Causes of climate change and our part in it
- Climate awareness and responsibility
- Commitment to global justice
(The individual one-day workshops can also be freely combined to form multi-day workshops).
