We tell and invent stories and poems about animals and nature together.
In this taster workshop on the topic of animals and nature, we want to listen and sneak, tell, invent and write poetry.
For example, we will practise how we move through landscapes as animals or listen out of the window. Then we use oral storytelling methods to invent our stories and play with the sound of language: for example, what does it sound like when the maple tree only knows words with an ‘A’ or the lavender bush always has an ‘sh’ attached to it? What does a moonlight bat make? Or a pineapple octopus? The programme aims to teach (sound) poetry, nature writing and the art of storytelling in a playful way and with little or no writing.
