Camilla M. Fehér

Choreographer/Multimedia artist/Teacher

completed her studies in dance and choreography at ‘Codarts’, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Rotterdam and a master’s degree in theater/performance at ‘Dasarts’, Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Amsterdam. Camilla M. Fehér works internationally as a dancer/choreographer, including with RAZ, Shusaku Takeuchi, was a member of the performance collective Poni.be and developed her own works, such as ‘Kaspar’, ‘Lost & Found’, ‘Solar Plexus’, ‘The No Band’. Numerous ‘sonic choreographies’, audible choreographies and visible compositions were created. Real-time choreographies and compositions – improvisation are always the focus of her work.

Things, bodies, instruments, props, microphones, objects and loudspeakers are interwoven into landscapes that are inhabited performatively.

In 2011, Camilla M. Fehér and Sylvi Kretzschmar formed the performance duo SKILLS at the interface of modern dance, live art, live electronic and electroacoustic music and performance (www.we-are-the-skills.de). Their works have been co-produced by the Hebbel Theater, HAU Berlin and Kampnagel Hamburg, among others.

Collaborations have been made with the Splitter Ensemble, the Ensemble Mosaik and others.

Since 2020, Fehér has been working regularly with the Thikwa Theater on concert performances, teaching workshops on ‘The Resonating Body’ among others (Tanzfabrik Berlin, PAF, BAJMT Musikakademie Rheinsberg) and investigating the interface between sound and body as ‘Embodiment of Sound’.
