Christian Wolz

Performance artist, voice and stage artist, musician, composer and voice therapist

*Born in Berlin in 1967. Lives and works in Berlin.

He developed his own avant-garde performance language. This combines theater, vocal art, composition and improvisation and electronics, interspersed with styles from different origins, namely from oriental and other cultures.

Since 1988 performances, sound installations, radio plays (SWR, Deutschlandradio), CD productions, collaboration with various choreographers, directors and musicians, as well as as a performer in dance pieces and theater productions.

He has worked as an artist in Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Greece, Italy, Canada, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.

Teaching activities for voice and performance: UdK Berlin, exploratorium berlin, Dartington College of Arts/UK, University of Wales, School of Music New Zealand (Wellington and Christchurch), Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus/DK and other places. Lecturer at the Exploratorium since 2008.
