Mariola Grzyb
studied sports science, German studies, art and music in North Rhine-Westphalia.
She has lived in Berlin since 2008 and works as a teacher, composer, author and dance teacher.
In her artistic work, she deals with current realities – actual states of our environment, society and related issues that touch on various topics – including in her forthcoming volume of poetry, which deals with the effectiveness of sounds. She has presented excerpts from it at various readings, including in the Poet’s Corner at the Berlin Poetry Festival.
She has been active in dance and choreography since her youth, including interdisciplinary work. During her studies, she began teaching modern dance to various age groups. The focus of her pedagogical work has always been on encouraging independent invention.
As part of her teaching activities at schools, she developed choreographies for extracurricular projects with the dance workshops she founded, e.g. for the events “Musische Wochen der Berliner Schulen” and “Grieg in der Schule” at the Philharmonie Berlin.
