Thomas Lehn

develops individual forms of expression in the field of live electronic music as an interpreting and improvising pianist. Since 1989 he has concentrated on the use of analogue systems which, through direct access to the individual elements of electronic sound synthesis, enable him to intervene directly in the structural and formal process of live music.

As a synthesiser player, he performs at festivals and on tours in Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand in duos with Gerry Hemingway, Paul Lovens, Eugene Chadbourne, Marcus Schmickler and Frederic Blondy, in trios with KONK PACK (Roger Turner & Tim Hodgkinson), FUTCH (Jon Rose & Johannes Bauer), TOOT (Phil Minton & Axel Dörner), THERMAL (John Butcher & Andy ‘Ex’ Moor), and large ensembles such as E-RAX, CORTET,
