Sound is moving air. Painting is water in motion. Improvisation is a fluid form that moves air.
Ulrike Brand will gradually introduce participants to the transfer of colour, line and form into sound. In an interplay of free and guided improvisation, we will approach a synaesthetic understanding of sound by looking at different pictures and drawings in depth. The focus will be on the question: how can poetry be created without clear rules? What are the conditions that enable the emergence of poetry in our own free improvisation?
The workshop is aimed at instrumentalists and singers; no prior professional training is required.
