The participants in the Improvisation Reading Circle led by Mathias Maschat are themselves improvisers at home in various professions: Musicians, dancers, visual artists. At the same time, they are also thinkers who are interested in engaging with the art of improvisation in an intellectual way and discussing it with others.
In 2022, this constellation gave rise to the idea of organising a day together every six months – as a counterbalance to the otherwise digital meetings – with their own topics, improvisations and discussions.
