In this half-year course, we will walk, run, sneak, dash, hop and DANCE.
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes loud or quiet, we will move up and down,
on our two legs and on ‘wish feet’.
Animals have up to 1,000 feet, are specialised – they can dig and paddle,
claw or suck, and have different modes of locomotion than humans.
With this in mind, we will expand our ‘footwork’ and imagine other feet in improvisations, put ourselves in the shoes of other beings, let ourselves be carried to other places, and be inspired by dancing animals.
Everything we do is about free dance. We dance barefoot in comfortable clothing. No previous experience is necessary.
The second dance course by Brigitte Westkemper (LINKED) is aimed at children with previous experience.
