young explo: for families

Family night at the exploratorium

© li.o. & re. u.: Projektteam Mathe x Kunst, re.o. & li.u.: exploratorium berlin

Facilitator: Julia Dorsch, Lukas Macher, Matthias Schwabe, Ursula Seeger

Location: exploratorium berlin

(The workshops are held in German language, but we can adapt to non-german speakers.)
In two halls of the exploratorium’s new location, visitors young and old can discover mysterious sounds and shadows.

In the concert hall, the KlangSpielFeld awaits you: a landscape of unusual instruments and sounding objects that are just waiting to be explored by you.
In a guided improvisation game at 5:15 pm, 6:15 pm, 7:15 pm and 8:15 pm we will create a musical journey through the night together. No previous musical experience is required.

In Studio 2, there will also be shadow plays to participate in at 5:15 pm, 6:15 pm, 7:15 pm and 8:15 pm  Objects are created from paper and we bring them to life in the shadows. What kind of stories do our shadows experience in our world of changing shapes?

Younger children are welcome to come along, active participation makes sense from school age.
