The Sarotti Instant improvisation ensemble was formed at the exploratorium in 2007. Its work focuses on free improvisation, but also on interdisciplinary interaction with poetry, visual arts and dance, as well as the inclusion of dramaturgical concepts.
Numerous performances have taken place at the exploratorium berlin, at the Neuköllner Originaltöne, at Nacht & Nebel, on the occasion of the Berlin Poetry Spring as well as at the Berlin Foundation Day 2012, at the Fête de la Musique (annually since 2014) and at the Festival of Things 2019.

The ensemble decides together on the admission of new members.
