Over two afternoons, we will explore variations of poetic and narrative language work in writing and spoken word. Participants will have the opportunity to get a taste of different language art methods and to work on their own language art works on this basis. We use images, objects and words as a starting point for poems, sound poetry and stories. We will experiment together:
How do I find my way into free linguistic association?
How can I improvise with language?
How is sonority created in a poem?
What effects does repetition produce?
Which word fields do I enter?
Where does the poem/story start from?
Can I capture a narrative without writing?
Following the tradition of “Nature Writing”, we will place a special focus on sensory impressions and vocabulary relating to non-human creatures and our ecosystems.
The workshop can be held in German and/or English. Participants can use any language for the artistic language work.
No previous experience necessary.
