Renaissance polyphony without sheet music? Based on ancient sources, the ensemble Le Bois Chantant sings the music of the 16th and 17th centuries as close as possible to the improvised reality that must have existed in a world without electric light and abundant sheet music: counterpoint by ear and spontaneously, originals are playfully expanded and altered, past and present meet in a musical reload.
