“Tnuaudio combines the Hebrew word תְנוּעָה (Tnu’a), meaning ‘movement,’ with ‘audio’ to reflect our interdisciplinary exploration of sound and movement through free improvisation. We draw from improvised music, jazz, dance and theatrical perspectives to approach a middle-ground between the disciplines.”
Tnuaudio is an ensemble project by Liam Elion. Elion started playing the trombone at the age of nine, initially studying classical music at the conservatory. He continued his education at the prestigious high-school jazz program at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts. Later on, as a member of the Global Jazz Institute directed by Danilo Perez and the Jazz and Gender Justice Institute directed by Terri Lyne Carrington at Berklee College of Music Liam studied with Joe Lovano, John Pattituci, Linda May Han Oh, George Garzone, Kris Davis, and many more.
