IMPETUS
Musicians from different generations and stylistic backgrounds have come together to form an improvisational trio, exploring the possibilities of their collaboration. The result is multilayered music incorporating rhythmic drive and melodic elements that are repeatedly dissolved and recombined. In doing so, they experiment with timbres and dynamics. The music is simultaneously tense, energetic, delicate and powerful.
Immanent Voiceless is the solo (and occasionally collaborative) project of Ivan Khilko, currently based in Los Angeles. Sound sources and techniques vary but include: tape, field recordings, synthesizer, guitar and various others. Khilko also plays bass in the grindcore band Drugs of Faith based in Washington, DC.
