Eleven musicians from nine different countries (Argentina, Chile, Germany, Finland, Hong Kong, Italy, Poland, Romania and Switzerland) met at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland in Basel within the master’s course Free Improvisation, led by Fred Frith and Alfred Zimmerlin. They have different musical and human backgrounds but they seem to be one single being on stage. They present their projects according to the motto: “it is what it isn’t”. Everything it needs will be there and what it doesn’t need will be equally part of it.
