Photographer Cristina Marx aka Photomusix has been meticulously documenting the international free jazz and improvisation scene for many years. To mark the 20th anniversary of the exploratorium, she is showing concert photographs from its history.
She published her pictures in the book FMP. The Living Music (Wolke Verlag), in the Jazzpodium, in the FAZ, in the taz, in online magazines such as freejazzblog, Dusted Magazine, Citizen Jazz etc. and on various album covers by artists such as Achim Kaufmann (Solo Piano, Grünen), Julie Sassoon (If You Can’t Go Outside … Go Inside), Christian Lillinger’s Open Form for Society, Ni Vu Ni Connu John Butcher Edition, Angel Bat Dawid and Tha Brotherhood (International Anthem), Rodrigo Amado Quartet and many others.
