Since Pierre Schaeffer recorded and edited moving trains on disc for his “Geräuschetüden” in Paris in 1948 and thus invented musique concrète, innumerable musicians and composers have explored the sounds of everyday life in a variety of ways.
This course offers participants an access to this fascinating world of sound and introduces them to musical work with the computer.
Exercises and improvisations that are based on each other are supplemented by listening to and discussing important pieces of electro-acoustic music together.
Also suitable for beginners with a little PC experience.
